Question:
----------------------
Hi guys
I have a client query; why is the mail on port 26? The reason for this question is that, on some accounts here, that port is not available unless a special request is made to our one and only isp.
Cheers

Answer:
----------------------
Hi keith,

We actually offer smtp on both ports 25 and 26.

The reason for this is because a lot of the larger ISP\'s don\'t allow their subscribers to send out mail on port 25, except through the ISP\'s own mail server - so we offer an alternative.

Your client\'s are free to use either port for smtp, and 110 for POP.
